PERISH, a first-person single-player and co-op shooter inspired by classical mythology from developer ITEM42 and publisher HandyGames, escapes the Underworld and is out today via Steam (deck verified), Epic Games Store and GOG Hack PCs. Players can test their fortunes on PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One consoles by the end of 2023.
Take on the role of Amyetri, a carnal spirit destined to live a shadowy life in the middle realm of Purgatory. Armed with only a broken sword, Amyetri must flee from the dark eternity.
Slay cult spirits and beasts in a riff on a heavy metal soundtrack. Journey further into the hallowed realm of Elysium, traversing grisly paths littered with lifeless corpses and immortal enemies, preparing to bring Amyetri back to darkness.

Slay hordes of undead and rare giant gods in epic boss battles. Loot corpses to collect Gold Danak. Meet the High Priestess and trade Danake for over 10 gorgeous handcrafted weapons, including spears, swords, bows and rifles, each with their own unique and upgradeable attacks. Deposit blood-stained currency into the Pantheon, or you risk losing it all. Reap the loot and fight on amidst collapsing cliffs, crumbling mazes, and fire pits.
Together with up to three friends, conquer a never-ending horde of soulless demons across the Lake of Molten Gold and the Broken Mountains. Activate co-op-exclusive gear to support, defend, and revive your teammates as you battle Oblivion. Face the perilous onslaught of desperate souls longing for the path to absolution, and use co-op tactics to conquer Elysium.
“With our first game launch, we wanted to create a new yet familiar gaming experience to enjoy with friends,” said Regan Ware, co-founder of ITEM42. A world of mythology, genres, artwork and music we love. We are proud to finally share this experience with the world!”
PERISH is available now on PC via Steam (Deck Verified), Epic Games Store and GOG for $19.99/€19.99. The soundtrack is available on Steam for $9.99/€9.99, or as a game bundle for $24.99/€24.99. PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions will be released later this year.
